Tioman Island Yacht Charter Guide
Often classified among the ten most beautiful islands in the world. Every visitor is charmed by these volcanic islands, covered by dense and varied vegetation.
Time looks like being stopped: no cars, only taxi boats. All the year long, temperature is constant, between 28° & 30° (sea at 28°).
Fine white sand beach, crystal waters, submarine fauna and flora are extremely colourful and varied, welcoming and discrete population guarantees dream vacations.

Best period is between April to October (contrary to Phuket), generally dry conditions, clear sky.
Winds are from South-East, average of 15 Knots. However, winds are parallel to the coast, so cruises often require to sail close to the wind or on the quarter.

General presentation
This is a group of islands located South-East of Malaysia. About 700 NM away from Phuket and 120 MN From Singapore.
There are 14 islands; distances between the islands are roughly 15 NM. Landscapes are varied and waters clear for the most distant islands. Tioman is famous for diving and it’s duty free shopping.
Acces
1 flight a day from Kuala Lumpur (one hour flight)
1 flight a day from Singapore (half an hour flight)
Mersing harbour (on mainland) is 2 hours 30 min drive from Singapour. There are many ferries and speed boats leading into Tioman.
Tioman
Access is easy because airport is very close, a few hundred meters from new marina, located in main harbour of Tekek. All along the west coast of Tioman is a series of beautiful white sand beaches and crystal waters.
Nice strolls are possible in the mountains (jungle, Waterfalls, etc…).
There’s also a golf course, several hotels among which « Berjaya” the most famous, (located 500 meters from the marina). You will find a lot of restaurants all along the coast.
Diving is very popular with its crystal clear waters and abundant marine life.
